Quilter's Threads Opens May 14

Come and  join us and see what we are all about. We have fine threads for quilting and machine embroidery, many sewing notions, embellishments, patterns, ribbons and more.

If we do not have the color you want or the size you want , let us know. In many cases we can order it for you. This is particularly true with our heat applied crystals and for some of our thread lines. There may be hundreds of choices of colors along with different sizes of packages. Most of our suppliers can get products to us very quickly.

We are also adding a line of gift items. Perfect for a quilting or sewing friend, a secret Santa, guild swaps or perhaps just for you.

Many of you are aware that we bought up the webofthreads inventory when Rooby went out of business. We have a made a number of changed and additions to our inventory.

  • Yenmet and Polyneon thread by popular request

  • A selection of gifts

  • Great clothing and wallhanging patterns

  • An expanded inventory of notions and implements

  • Hand-dyed fibers from Farm Fresh Textiles coming soon

  • Exclusive - a line of patterns from Kameleon Quilts in Norway

  • Patterns from Toni's Patterns and Sarah's Designs by the Sea

Special Purchase

We have had the opportunity to buy some packs of marbled fabric by Marjorie Bevis as well as some hand-painted batiks. Incredible wonderful colors, Kathy and I are debating whether to hang them as works of art on our walls, use them ourselves or sell them. So through our generosity we are actually offering some for sale.

May's Project

May’s  Project is a Modern Broderie Perse Pillow. It features motifs cut from fabric and enhanced with free motion embroidery. I provide the list of supplies and step by step directions.

"Dear Aunt Lil"

From a frantic quilter: “Help! When I washed my quilt, the colors ran. What do I do?”

Aunt Lil’s reply

“Your run-away colors are probably having a ball in the “Land of Lost Socks”, but don’t fret—Often Synthrapol will remove the color. Better yet, wash batiks and dark fabrics in Synthrapol before using them with very light colors and prevent problems.”

Or maybe those escapee colors are looking for Nemo, Aunt Lil?

My Aunt Lil is a wonderful, witty woman who has offered to provide advice for quilters and general life advice. She has lots of it to give! So send your questions to: askauntlil@quiltersthreads.com

She will answer as many questions as possible.

About Us

Diane Harman-Hoog owns Quilter's Threads and Kathleen Headley is the Director of Sales and Marketing. Diane and Kathy met in an online Washington State quilt guild. Kathy asked Diane to teach her to machine quilt and we have not stopped talking or quilting since. When we met we were both disabled and unable to work in traditional positions, but we often talked about how we would like to be able to do something in the quilting business. When the opportunity to start Quilter's Threads came up it seemed to be a perfect fit for our needs and skills. So here we are!
